This is not a new way of making money. Many internet marketers have sold their original stupid formula and some of them have made a huge money using Google Adwords and AdSense, YouTube and some affiliates advertising as their tools.
The basic idea is how to present an original stupid formula, make it as a profit one with payment proof and selling the dream to get rich quickly. The fact is, too many stupid newbie have waited from all over the world for a legitimate and original stupid formula. They will pay it and promote it, as long as they think it could make them get rich quickly too. Many sad stories about it.
So, if you have an original making money formula, it doesn't matter how stupid your making money formula, you could make money if you can promote it well. Sometimes they call it as a part of Affiliates Marketing. Of course, some of Affiliates marketing have sold brilliant and legitimate making money formula.
But, I call the stupid making money formula as Making Money ON LIE (not online) or making money with stupidity..
Even though it is stupid, at least it has originality. So, you could sell your original formula, but please use your wisdom, and make people enjoy the wisdom and originality..
I have sen this paid to promote idea around and you get paid per thousand impressions but I don't know how to do it myself. Have you ever used pay to promote at all?
They paid for impressions from US, CA, UK and AUS only.. I got $0.03/day for 52 impressions from the countries above.
That is a good note. But sometimes, we do need much encouragement for us to really have our idea take off. We need much confidence that indeed it would work. That is why we are afraid to start.
I have been using or joining othes' scheme. I do not have my own idea at the moment but I do try my best to think. Actually we can make it if we have just trust into these ideas to make money...no matter how crazy they might sound to others...or worst, to us ourselves.

Yes, I think adsense is pretty good, but it is important to come with some good schemes or formulas as you've mentioned in order to drive more traffic. This blog has some interesting insight, and I agree originality is important.
the most important is not about the stupid formula but how we can make original formula.. so we must have a marketing knowledge..

The more ideas one has, the more stupid ideas one will have but also the more smart ideas he will have. In other words, keep developing your concepts and shaping them into brilliant ideas.
